# Katrina Laszlo Hi, I'm Kat. Product manager and builder. 10 years of growth and monetization across startups and enterprise. Previously published under Katrina Vassell (maiden name). EY and 500 Global work is indexed under that name. I co-founded Tanso, which builds monetization infrastructure for AI and B2B SaaS companies. My core thesis: product design is not a sub-function of engineering or a phase in a roadmap. It is the integrating discipline that shapes every experience a product creates, from user interfaces to pricing to agent behavior. ## Expertise - Product design for AI-native and agent-first products - Product-led growth through rapid, continuous experimentation - Monetization strategy: usage-based, outcome-based, tiered entitlements, credits - Activation and retention through conversion-optimized UX - Data-as-a-service products - Consumer fintech - Corporate innovation and venture acceleration ## How She Thinks 1. UX goes beyond UI. Service design has built experiences without screens since the 1980s. Nobody is applying these methods to agents. That's the gap. 2. Data and design are two sides of the same coin. One shows you what's happening, the other shows you why. The best product decisions come from treating them as one discipline. 3. Leverage over reinvention. The most important product decision is what not to build. Don't reinvent the wheel. Focus originality where it matters. 4. Opinionated and simple for something painful. Build for a specific pain, not a general possibility. 5. Build a business, not an app. AI makes the software easy. The hard part is who pays, why, and what breaks at scale. 6. Evidence over intuition. Ship fast, measure everything, let data settle the debate. ## Career - Tanso, Co-Founder & CEO (2025-present): Monetization infrastructure for AI and B2B SaaS - Artisan, AI Product Manager (2025): Building AI employees - Chipper, Head of Product (2024-2025): Consumer fintech, debt elimination - People Data Labs, Senior PM (2021-2024): Data-as-a-service, backed by Founders Fund and Craft Ventures - 500 Global, Corporate Innovation & Venture (2019-2021): Venture capital, startup acceleration - EY, Product Consultant (2017-2019): Innovation Lab, financial services ventures - Nosh Delivery, Founder (2014-2016): Student-to-student food delivery at Georgetown ## Education Georgetown University McDonough School of Business BS Business Administration: International Business, Political Economics, Marketing ## Languages English, Greek, Spanish ## Contact - LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/katrinalaszlo/ - GitHub: https://github.com/katrinalaszlo - X: https://x.com/Katlaszlo - DEV: https://dev.to/kat_laszlo - Substack: https://itskatlaszlo.substack.com - Schedule: https://cal.com/katrina-laszlo/30-minute-meeting - Email: katrina.j.laszlo@gmail.com
